Precocious puberty is a concerning condition affecting children worldwide that has been associated with long-term adverse outcomes. The most common form of precocious puberty is the premature reactivation of the hypothalamic GnRH pulsatile secretion, known as central precocious puberty, a common condition in pediatric endocrine care. This session will put in context advances in the approach of central precocious puberty, highlighting recent findings and novelties on etiology, treatment, and long-term surveillance into adulthood.

Understand DLK1 deficiency as a monogenic cause of CPP and its metabolic outcomes in adulthood
Update strategies for initiating and following CPP treatment with long-acting GnRH analogues
Recognize potential long-term outcomes of treated and untreated CPP for both sexes
