This program will review the underlying pathophysiology of acquired hypothalamic obesity (HO); key clinical features that can help identify affected patients; and the impact of the MC4R pathway impairment, the root cause of increased hunger and weight gain in acquired HO. It will also highlight clinical trial data evaluating IMCIVREE® (setmelanotide), the first and only treatment that targets impairment of the hypothalamic MC4R pathway, including outcomes related to weight and hunger reduction, additional clinical results, and safety and tolerability in pediatric and adult patients with acquired HO.
