Qilin Zhang is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, Shanghai, China. He also received formal research training in endocrinology during his two-year research fellowship at Mass General Brigham, Harvard Medical School. Trained in both neurosurgery and endocrinology, Dr. Zhang’s work bridges the clinical management of pituitary and skull base tumors with molecular endocrinology and translational precision medicine.
Dr. Zhang’s research focuses on the molecular classification and precision management of pituitary neuroendocrine tumors (PitNETs), integrating multi-omics sequencing, molecular imaging, and longitudinal clinical cohorts. His work has contributed to redefining PitNET classification through a mechanism-based framework, advancing imaging-guided precision surgery, and developing subtype-driven strategies for recurrence prediction and targeted therapy.
His current work aims to further refine molecular subtyping frameworks and translate these discoveries into clinical practice to improve outcomes for patients with pituitary neuroendocrine tumors.
