I am Yumie Rhee, a Professor of Internal Medicine at Yonsei University College of Medicine.
Following my graduation from Yonsei University College of Medicine, I obtained an M.D. and Ph.D. in the field of parathyroid hormone in animal models. Between 2008 and 2010, I worked with Dr. Teresita Bellido at the Indiana University School of Medicine in the USA, where I had the opportunity to study osteocyte-driven bone remodeling. Currently, I am involved in the study of rare skeletal diseases and osteoporosis, especially its secondary forms. To date, I have published over 298 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Regarding the service to academic societies, I am the International Liaison of the KSBMR, a Councilor, and a Fellow of the ASBMR. I am the Associate Editor of JCEM Case Reports. I also serve as the Chief Officer of Endocrinology and the Director of the International Health Care Center at my hospital.
