Biagio Cangiano, MD, is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Endocrinology at the University of Milan and IRCCS Istituto Auxologico Italiano, Milan, Italy. His research focuses on clinical and translational endocrinology, with particular emphasis on the pathophysiology of hypogonadism across the spectrum from congenital to functional forms, as well as on complications of pituitary disorders. He has made significant contributions to the understanding of hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis dysfunction in metabolic disease, including obstructive sleep apnea, investigating sex-specific mechanisms and their cardiometabolic implications. Dr. Cangiano serves on the editorial board of BMC Endocrine Disorders and as Guest Editor for Frontiers in Endocrinology. He is Principal Investigator of multiple institutional research projects and an active member of international research networks in endocrinology. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and has been recognized with early-career awards from the Italian Society of Endocrinology and the Italian Society of Andrology and Sexual Medicine.
