María Andrea Camilletti, PhD, is a Researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina (CONICET), at the Institute of Neuroscience (INEU), FLENI. She earned her Master’s degree in Biology and a PhD in Biological Chemistry from the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires. During her doctoral and postdoctoral training as a CONICET fellow, Dr. Camilletti focused her research on the hormonal physiopathology of the pituitary gland and the molecular diagnosis of congenital hypopituitarism. Her international experience includes research stays at the University of Texas at Austin (2017) and the University of Michigan (2021). In 2023, she established her research line at INEU-FLENI, where she leads a team developing novel in vitro models using human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to identify the molecular mechanisms of genetic variants in patients with hormone deficiencies. She also serves as a Professor of Human Genetics at the University of Morón.
