Dr. Samim Özen is a pediatric endocrinologist and clinical geneticist at the Faculty of Medicine, Ege University, Türkiye. His research focuses on the genetics of rare endocrine disorders, including genetic and syndromic obesity, lipodystrophy, and disorders of sex development (DSD). He is also involved in monogenic diabetes research and the use of diabetes technologies in children with type 1 diabetes. His work is supported by grants from The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK). He serves on the editorial boards of several pediatric and endocrine journals and contributes to national and international collaborations.
