Dr. Md Ahasanur Rahman is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at Howard University College of Medicine, where he investigates the role of hepatic androgen receptor signaling in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and diet-induced insulin resistance. His work includes a cross-sector collaboration with Alnylam Pharmaceuticals on siRNA therapeutics targeting the liver androgen receptor in preclinical PCOS models. He completed his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at Howard University and a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), where he studied NK cell transcriptional regulation and immune cell differentiation. Dr. Rahman is a 2026 FLARE Fellow of the Endocrine Society and recipient of the ENDO 2026 Outstanding Abstract Award. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications and mentored 18 trainees across Ph.D., medical, and undergraduate levels.
