The spectrum of pseudohypoparathyroidism (PHP) continues to expand with advances in our understanding of its genetic and physiological mechanisms. This has enabled more precise classifications of PHP and related disorders, such as acrodysostosis, and clarified both their unique features and overlapping characteristics. Insights into PTH/PTHrP and GNAS signaling pathways have revealed their central roles in diverse biological processes. Beyond calcium and phosphate homeostasis, dysregulation of these pathways contributes to ectopic ossification and impacts energy balance and obesity-topics that will be highlighted and discussed in this symposium.
