John Newell-Price is Professor of Endocrinology at the University of Sheffield and Honorary Consultant Endocrinologist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where he leads the Endocrine Service and the Sheffield ENETS European Centre of Excellence for Neuroendocrine Tumours, and is Director of Clinical Research for the Institution. His research interests include glucocorticoids, pituitary and neuroendocrine tumours, and he has published widely in these areas. He has been Senior Editor of the journal Clinical Endocrinology, co-authored clinical practice guidelines for the Endocrine Society and European Society of Endocrinology, and written the National Service Specification for Specialised Endocrinology for the National Health Service, UK. He is past President of the UK and Ireland Neuroendocrine Tumour Society and Trustee of the Patient support charity the Pituitary Foundation.
He is the Immediate Past President of The Endocrine Society.
