Mark Gurnell (MD, PhD) is Professor of Clinical Endocrinology at the University of Cambridge. He is also Section Lead in the Department of Medicine and Clinical SubDean (Head of Assessment) in the Cambridge Medical School. His clinical interests lie in the fields of adrenal and pituitary disorders, and he leads the Endocrine Service at Cambridge University Hospitals which attracts national and international referrals due to its specialist expertise, particularly in advanced diagnostics and therapeutics. His research interests are focussed on early translation of innovations in molecular imaging to the clinical arena to facilitate more personalised decision-making for patients with pituitary and adrenocortical tumours.
