Dr Elisabeth Nowak (MD) is a clinician scientist and resident in the Department of Medicine IV, Ludwig Maximilian University Hospital in Munich, where she specialises in internal medicine, endocrinology, and diabetology. She is a member of the pituitary and adrenal research groups led by Professor Martin Reincke and Professor Nicole Reisch, with a special research focus on endogenous Cushing’s syndrome. Her work has been recognised with several awards, including the 2026 Basic-Clinical Translational Research Award of the German Endocrine Society, and her first-author publications in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology gained ‘Paper of the Month’ recognition by her faculty and funding body. She is an elected member of the ENS@T Early Career Committee and is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Endocrinological Investigation.
