Elizabeth (Lisa) Murphy, MD, DPhil, is a Professor of Medicine at UCSF and Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at San Francisco General Hospital. Dr. Murphy’s work spans patient care, translational research, and medical education, with a focus on diabetes, obesity, and metabolism. Prior to her position at UCSF she was CMO at a small biotech company. At UCSF, she is committed to supporting diverse career pathways for trainees in endocrinology, including careers in clinical medicine, research, and education in both industry and academia.
