Dr. Kaval Chhabra is an Associate Professor in the department of Pharmacology & Nutritional Sciences at the Universit of Kentucky. His reserach focuses on understanding how the brain and kidney sense glucose and energy to regulate homeostatis. His laboratory uses mouse models to accomplish these goals. The knowledge gained from their research projects will help identify new mechanisms and therapeutic targets to treat metabolic disorders such as diabetes and obesity.
