I am Rafeka Hossain, MSPH, MS, a Scientific Research Analyst III in the CHOICES Program at Tulane University School of Medicine. My current research examines how glycemic control, measured by HbA1c, relates to vertebral bone strength assessed by biomechanical computed tomography among participants in the Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults (CARDIA) study. This work is part of a broader team effort investigating the relationships between cardiometabolic risk and skeletal health, including longitudinal cardiometabolic disease trajectories and differences across race and sex. I specialize in epidemiologic data analysis, scientific writing, and the translation of complex statistical findings into peer-reviewed manuscripts and conference presentations.
