JF Winkles is currently a data scientist at the University of Pittsburgh Epidemiology Data Center. He has primarily been working on the Study of Women's Health Across the Nation (SWAN), focusing on new methods for characterizing daily hormone secretion patterns, analysis of physical activity trends using actigraphy/actiwatch data, and general trends cognitive functioning. His work regarding daily hormone secretion patterns has focused primarily on the use of entropy to characterize daily hormone behavior over the course of a menstrual cycle.
